Official Launch of the RA3 Project: Bringing Health and Hope to Flood-Affected Communities in Yola South and Lamurde
Last Friday marked a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing quality healthcare and support to vulnerable communities. We officially flagged off the Reserve Allocation 3 (RA3) Project and began distributing essential drugs to Yola South and Lamurde Local Government Areas (LGAs).
About the RA3 Project
The RA3 Project, officially titled ‘Provision of Coordinated Emergency Health and WASH Response for Flood-Affected Victims in Yola South and Lamurde LGAs,’ aims to address the urgent health and sanitation needs of communities severely impacted by recent flooding. This vital initiative is generously funded by the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), reflecting a collaborative effort to mitigate the adverse effects of natural disasters on public health.
The launch event was a testament to the power of partnership and collective action. It was graced by key stakeholders, including representatives from the state government, the World Health Organization (WHO), local government leadership, and various non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Their presence underscored the importance of a unified approach to tackling health crises in affected areas.
During the event, LESGO distributed a wide range of essential drugs aimed at addressing both immediate and long-term health concerns in the flood-affected communities. These medications are critical in preventing disease outbreaks and ensuring that residents have access to necessary healthcare services.
LESGO, alongside our partners and stakeholders, is deeply committed to restoring not just health, but also hope in these communities. This Project is more than just an emergency response; it is a step towards sustainable recovery and resilience for the people of Yola South and Lamurde.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners, especially the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), for their unwavering support. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
