In response to a recent cholera outbreak in Yola South, our team at Grassroot Life Saving Outreach – LESGO swiftly mobilized to support the health and safety of affected communities. Cholera, a severe illness often spread through contaminated water, poses a significant risk, especially in areas where access to clean water and sanitation facilities is limited. To tackle this urgent issue, we implemented a targeted chlorination and fumigation campaign, addressing both water quality and environmental cleanliness to protect the community from further spread.

One of the leading causes of cholera transmission is contaminated water, and without immediate intervention, it can quickly infect large populations. Recognizing this, our team began by treating local water sources with safe levels of chlorine to kill harmful bacteria, providing residents with safer, potable water.
