LESGO Distribute Dignity kit with Essential relief materials to PWDs.
At LESGO, inclusivity is at the core of our mission, and as part of our Lean Season Project –“Provision of Lean Season Essential Community Health Services for Prevention of Disease Outbreaks, SRH, and WASH in Selected Communities of Yola South and Madagali LGAs”, we are committed to addressing the needs of vulnerable groups in the communities of Gulak and Shuwa in Madagali Local Government Area. By providing essential resources, we aim to support the health, dignity, and mobility of women, girls, and persons with disabilities (PWDs), ensuring that every community member receives the care and support they deserve.
In October, our team took a significant step in supporting women and girls by distributing dignity kits tailored to their hygiene and self-care needs. Each kit was thoughtfully designed, containing sanitary pads, soap, and personal care items necessary for daily health practices. These kits are more than just supplies; they represent our commitment to empowering women and girls, fostering their wellbeing, and boosting their confidence, especially in difficult times.
To further extend our inclusive approach, we provided essential mobility aids to persons with disabilities – PWDs, including wheelchairs, crutches, and hearing aids. These items are vital for promoting the independence and comfort of those with mobility challenges, allowing them to navigate their communities more easily and participate fully in daily life.
Our Lean Season Project reflects our vision of a united community where all individuals, regardless of physical limitations, can lead fulfilling lives with dignity and respect. We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone has the resources they need to thrive, contribute, and be recognized as valued members of their communities.
Through these initiatives, we are working toward a brighter future for vulnerable populations in Madagali and Yola South LGA. Each aid item distributed is a testament to our mission of inclusion and our hope for resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and purpose.
